Every Tuesday evening, my small apartment becomes bombarded with a group of beautiful, passionate women who are hungry for more in their faith. Some are married, some single. A couple are mamas. They each drive an hour round-trip in the dark and cold to show up at the door marked 331 and enter into a journey of faith together.
Each week we sit crammed into a space smaller than should fit us, laugh our way through funny stories or happenings of the week, and dive deep into His presence. Bible are cracked open, pens write in rapid motion, and spirits are stirred as the Living One breathes freshness into our lives.
This Tuesday night gathering is one of the greatest gifts the Father has given me in this season. I love these women, their stories, and their willingness to come along on the journey. This is one of those long hoped-for dreams that I am actually beginning to live in the moment of today. Thankfulness doesn’t begin to cut it.
If you know me well, you know my passion is seeing lives changed and awakened through His words being released. A few months ago, my vision for this cozy living room gathering grew to a dream of an expanded couch and an open invitation.
It’s an invitation to a whole company of women I may not know as of yet to come right into my living room on Tuesday nights.
It’s a dream to welcome you into a circle of women I count it an honor to sit among and to join us as we seek Him and His fresh revelation.
This post you’re reading is the official launch of just that. Each week on the blog you will see a new recording posted. My hope is that you will grab your coffee, find a cozy couch, and join us. My sweet hubby Mark edits the unnecessary or the way-too-personal out of each week so what you hear is as raw and real to our time as possible. You can expect to hear the occasional chatter, laughter, and challenge. And you may hear sweet baby Ezzy crying out in the background at times. You most certainly will be joining into a group who loves deeply, dreams impossibly, and believes passionately for Him.
Want to join us in the living room? Check back tomorrow for the first session to be posted.
(In my dreams, this is exactly what my living room looks like – lit candles, fluffy pillows, fresh flowers, and a ridiculously cozy couch. Truth be told, it does not.)
